Interesting Facts -

1 - Valencia transferred to Manchester United from Wigan Athletic for an undisclosed fee, but it was rumoured to be around 16 million.

2 - Valencia made his debut for Manchester United on 29th July 2009, scoring his first goal for the club in a 2-1 victory over Boca Juniors.

3 - Valencia assisted Wayne Rooney`s winning goal in the final of the 2010 League Cup against Aston Villa, earning him the title of Man of the Match.

4 - Valencia was fast-tracked through the Ecuador U20 team, along with Christian Benitez. In the 23 matches he played, Valencia managed to score 17 goals.

5 - Valencia gained his first international cap for Ecuador on 27th March 2005. He also scored his first two international goals at the same time.
