United v Villa Preview

After the long trip to Southampton, we`re back on home ground for a Premier League fixture against Aston Villa this Tuesday evening

Vital Quotes:

Despite being unbeaten, Sir Alex Ferguson remains wary of the threat Aston Villa pose warning,

"When you are down there in the Premier league it`s not easy to get out of it. But two victories can make a difference and they are getting there squad back after injuries.

Manchester United Team News:

Sir Alex Ferguson made numerous changes for the trip to Southampton for the FA Cup fixture, we expect those who were rested to be back in the starting eleven this time out.

Hargreaves, Valencia and Park are declared as out whilst Carrick, Ferdinand and Rafael are rated as doubtful.

Player to watch: Javier Hernandez

May start on the bench but if needed, we know he`ll come of fit to grab a winner!

Aston Villa Team News:

Villa, from having a lengthy injury list that saw them field a host of youngsters in the reciprocating game, now have a relatively empty treatment room with only Makoun ruled out whilst young Baker is suspended after seeing red last time out.

Player to watch: Ashley Young

Touted by many as being on the move this transfer window but Villa appear to have held on to him, shame, would`ve liked to see him in a United shirt!

Match Facts & Stats

Villa`s record against United in recent years is poor, having won only 1 in 28 but it should be remembered that win was last season. Also, Villa were so close to beating us at Villa Park this season before that late comeback salvaged something. Altogether an interesting fixture this one!

Ref Watch:

Chris Foy will be the man in the middle for this one, ably assisted by Dean Mohareb and Glenn Turner with Stuart Atwell feeling Ferguson`s breath on his neck in the technical area.

Match Prediction:

We`re unbeaten in the Premier League so far this season, Aston Villa, on paper, should be swept aside but I have an uneasy feeling about this one, it may well be harder than we expect and could end in a narrow win!

Next Fixtures:

It`s a trip to Wolves for us next as we continue our campaign to win the Premier League.

With no hatred involved , just health rivaly as a Chelsea fan I hope its any result but a United win. I would be content even with a draw. And I do believe that this match will give Villa a decent chance of winning providing that United's 12th Man -Lady Luck- isnt on the pitch

Villa always put up a fight and we've got to be very aware of the pace the pay possess, afterall we don't want to go one down and leave ourselves a mountain to climb again.
