Ronaldo & Fergie: January's Best

Our excellent January form earned the player of the month and the manager of the month award for United: Cristiano Ronaldo and obviously, Sir Alex Ferguson landed Barclays' prizes.

The Reds won four out of four in the Premier League in the first month of 2008, without conceding a single goal. Ronaldo provided a fine backheel that set up Carlos Tevez's winner against Birmingham, scored a hat-trick - his first ever in United colours - against Newcastle United, clinched the 2-0 win over Reading with a stoppage time solo effort then scored a quickfire a double against Pompey, the second, according to his boss, was the best free-kick ever scored in the Premier League.

It is a bit of a landmark for Fergie: he's landed his 20th managerial award. Ronaldo, after only four and a half years in England, has only three - but everyone would be surprised if this amount remained so low...

Haha, not really, has no affect on me, just remembering MON and Gabby Agbonlahor getting the pair for us before our winless streak.
