Coupet Is Afraid Of United

Lyon goalkeeper Gregory Coupet admitted: United scares him as they are not strong enough as a unit in defence.

Coupet, who had experienced playing against United before, seems to think that Lyon have very little chance of progressing against us in the Champions League.

"United scares me a lot" he told L`Equipe. "Let`s remember what they did to Roma last year. I don`t really want to concede seven goals.

'We can be amazing but we lack rigidity. We haven't got that collective strength in defence. We are professionals and we are not there to play total football."

He does not want to concede seven goals... it is as if his greatest concern was not about getting through but about avoiding embarassment. Is such an attitude wise before taking on Manchester United? A little self-belief would not go amiss for Coupet...

maybe we should be terrified but they are mediocre this season. will win the french league again but let's face it: that's no big deal...
