Spurs v United - Player Ratings!

Spurs v United - Player Ratings!

Edwin van der Sar: Made a mistake but was desperately unlucky. Had he allowed the ball go past him, Rio could have cleared easily. 6

Wes Brown: Steady at the back but terrible crosses and poor first touch. 6

Rio Ferdinand: Fine. He was his usual reliable self. 7

Nemanja Vidic: Unusually shaky. He was far from his intimidating best, allowed Lennon to cross before the first goal and slipped at a crucial time when Robbie Keane was sent through by Berbatov. 5

Patrice Evra: Thankless task. He dealt with Lennon fairly well, the goal being the obvious exception. Seldom found the time and energy to help the attacks. 6

Cristiano Ronaldo: Stuck in the middle, behind the striker, he still did quite well, trying to inject momentum into United's football. Deliberate fouls were applied mercilessly against him, and the referee was lenient enough to allow it. 7

Paul Scholes: Not his best game. His passing was fine but his influence was stifled by Giggs' and Ronaldo's positioning. Mistake by Fergie, should have been substituted after 45 minutes. 5

Owen Hargreaves: Best player of the first half with a lot of tackles, good passing, full of running. Why he was substituted is beyond me. 7

Ryan Giggs: I must be strict because he was nowhere near sharp enough and countless attacks were thwarted by his slow control and sloppiness. 4

Wayne Rooney: Nowhere to be seen for 70 minutes then moved into the middle and wreaked havoc. Why he was played out of position for the majority of the game is another mystery. 6

Carlos Tevez: Another important goal, another important contribution. Lots of effort, running, ability - he's rapidly becoming one of my favourite players. 8

Michael Carrick: He did well, replacing Hargreaves but he was not the man for the job in such a high-tempo game. 6

Anderson: This guy, for me, earned the right to be a regular starter. Impressive cameo appearance, he injected pace and self-belief into United. Should have scored. 8

Nani: Good. Caused problems for Chimbonda, his trickery was near to its early-season best and delivered the cross for the equaliser. 7

Giggs was a bit disappointing and I'm just wonderin why van der sar is playing poor lately, i'm getting a bit worried about him. others were acceptable.

Edwin van der Sar: Majorly at fault for the goal...nothing unlucky - no way near united/champions standard! 6 Wes Brown: had one cahnace int he 1st half, as a spurs fan - happy it fell to him. 6 Rio Ferdinand: Fine. No really tested in all honesty, could have linked up with midfield more...7 Nemanja Vidic: No way near as solid as expected and usually seen. Off the ball dirty swipes and ended up losing his own mind games...6 Patrice Evra: Would not have looked out of place in the wigan team. did the basics to an average standard. Ou muscled, out-paced...5 Cristiano Ronaldo: Best in the world without out a doubt...had no luck with hutton, no luck with chimbo...drifted centrally and crowded it...7 Paul Scholes: Of the pace...5 Owen Hargreaves: Probably would have done a better job in goal than Van Der Sar...handled the ball 1 on 1 with lennon...should have been off! Broke up play well. 6 Ryan Giggs: warrants better than a 4...not his usual self, however, was ok on the ball. 6 Wayne Rooney: Offered more problems than Tevez 9other than his goal) tracked back well, got forward well...1 of the better players. 7 Carlos Tevez: Important goal, no other problems throughout the game...purley because of the goal...7 Michael Carrick: He did well, replacing Hargreaves but he was not the man for the job in such a high-tempo game...agreed.6 Anderson: Impressive cameo appearance, he injected pace and self-belief into United. Should have scored - yes! But no huge driving force or power...7 Nani: United fans can hope he's having a slow first season like ronaldo...looked like an everage player...6 United...dirty play, intentional fouls, 8 cards...says it all! Hargreaves should have been off! If this what it takes to be champions...as a spurs fan, i look forward to winning the league next year!

we were all over you guys like a rash! I have respect for united coz you are a great side BUT yesterday we deserved 3 points and i dont like the way fergie just cannot admit it when the opposition team plays better. The way your fans celebtated dawsons O.G was like you'd just won the treble! Anyway good luck for the title I want you to win it.

You *****. Dirty cheats. All you do is get wound up when you are getting outplayed by a classier side like spurs. You were lucky last w/end in the cup and a lot luckier this w/end/ I sicnerely hope that the points you dropped against us give the title to either The Scum or the Chavs. Yes you heard me a yid asying that he'd rathe the arse win the title. Thats because they don't tap up players the your cheating fkcuing manager does getting carrick (the disloyal prikc) to sy berba would fit in well. Berba will stay. You will not win the title - FA cup is your best chance at silverware ****cos

Oh god. Now I see why Arsenal fans often mock you guys. When the DVD will be out? It's not often you get a point against us at the Lane...
