Scholes' Return: Wonderful News

Scholes' Return: Wonderful News

Scholesy completed 30 minutes against Spurs this afternoon and looked sharp, which, in Hargreaves' opinion, is great news.

'It`s great to have Scholesy back for the big run-in now,' he told MUTV.

'I think Scholesy`s probably one of the best players I`ve ever played with. I think he`ll be our most important player towards the end of the season now. If he's fit, he could be crucial.'

Oh yes, he could. His creative spark will be very, very important and he can chip in with important goals, something that Carrick rarely does (Roma game aside). Anderson is talented but Scholes's experience can see us home in the title race.

Back when it transpired he would miss three months I asked whether we were going to be able to cope with the loss of Scholesy. I think we can say the team did fantastically without their midfield general - first place in the league, impressive Champions League campaign.

We now have four central midfielders and all of them are capable of doing a great job. That means we can keep fresh the engine room until the very end of the season - and that gives us a great chance for success.
