Ronaldo Doesn't Care About Records

Ronaldo Doesn't Care About Records

Cristiano Ronaldo insists his most important aim is helping the team to retain our Premiership title - and he's not thinking about records.

George Best, once the greatest player in the world, holds a tremendous record: he scored 32 goals in one season and no United winger has ever been able to beat it. Ronaldo has a real chance as he's only 10 goals away now...

'I never imagined I would have 23 goals by January, but the team are playing
very well and my friends are creating many opportunities for me to score,'
he toldn The Sun.

'It is a pleasure and a great compliment when people compare me to George
Best. For me, Best was one of the most important players ever.

'If I break his record I'm happy, but to be honest, I don't care. The most
important thing is for the team to win the title.

'Last season I scored 23 times. This time I want to score more. I just want to do
my best and improve every year.'
