Ginger Ninja Close To Return!

Wonderful news from Carlos Queiroz: Paul Scholes is almost ready to make his comeback.

Our beloved Ginger Ninja's been out since injuring his knee before the Champions League game against Dynamo in Kiev. He had been tipped to return against Spurs at White Hart Lane but Robinson can start having nightmares about Scholesy's shots a week earlier.

'We are waiting for clearance and we think next Thursday the medical staff will give clearance for Paul Scholes to be ready to start full training and playing. He can play immediately,' Queiroz told a news conference.

'His fitness level is fantastic. 'The FA Cup is a possibility. We hope after clearance next Thursday that he can at least be on the bench.'

I must say that we did not really miss Scholes, mainly due to the emergence of Anderson. But it will be wonderful to see him back: he was instrumental in our title charge last season and could prove equally important during this campaign. Now we only have to hope that no Gary Neville-style setback hinders him...

It will be great to have him back and intersesting to see what kind of partnerships he can form with Anderson and Hargreaves. This team is going from strength to strength.

He'll need a bit of time to get back into things but it's like a new signing.
storagematt
