FA Cup: Spurs or Reading

Manchester United will host either Tottenham Hotspur or Reading in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

United haven't played a non-Premiership opponent since the fourth round in 2006 when they beat Wolves 3-0 at the Molyneux. Last year's FA Cup run consisted of victories over five Premiership sides and after beating Aston Villa in the fourth round on Saturday, we were granted another team from the top league.

Tottenham's and Reading's are both among the weakest defensive records in the league and after Spurs' 6-4 win at White Hart Lane in the Premiership on December 29, they draw 2-2 at the same stadium more than a week later. The replay will be played at the Madejski Stadium on January 15 and the winner will visit Old Trafford on January 26 or 27.

Bad luck. Never mind, your still in the CL!

Although i do not share the same enthusiasm as my fellow yids when it comes to the prospect of visiting OT in a cup which i was hoping to do quite well in, I am sure that it will be a good tie and should imagine that SHOULD we progress passed Reading it will at least be shown on the box.

Oh, we are feeling terrible now. Facing Spurs who have not won against us... I'm not too good at ancient history, sorry. And what a pity that we are out of the League Cup and only consolation price that is the Champions League have remained for us. I hope Spurs win the third round replay, I do not want a repeat of last season's horribly difficult cup games against Reading.
midlothian99

blue is not the colour i think spurs or reading is a little tougher then wigan. and look at who you had in the 3rd round compared to us. not to mention the teams you played in the run up to the final last season.
rooneyisgod
