Fergie Wants To Meet Fergie

Fergie Wants To Meet Fergie

Poor Darren Fletcher was often the target of not-so-witty jokes about he's only in the team because of his name's resemblance to Fergie's youngest son, the only one who happened to make his career at football.

It was distinctly unfair but one thing is clear: the old man is ready to smooth the progress of his son whenever possible. Darren Ferguson now manages Peterborough and I'm sure his name had a lot to do with it... He's doing a decent job, as far as I know (do not know too many Posh supporters but they seem to like him) and would love to prove it for his father - he wants to play at Old Trafford in the FA Cup.

'I think it would be fantastic for the club and it would be a fantastic draw for the players, especially if it's at Old Trafford,' he told Sky Sports News.

'To go and play in that arena would be fantastic.

'Obviously it would make a lot of money for the club and the ideal draw would be any draw away from home against the top four - that would be great for the club.'

He also added that the whole family bar his father would support Peterborough but I doubt Fergie (our own one) will be offended by this claim!
