'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Fergie relieved at win (AUDIO)

It certainly wasn't a straight forward afternoon at Old Trafford against Everton. Despite taking the lead midway through the first half through a wonderful goal from Cristiano Ronaldo, Everton immediately pegged back the Champions through a typical Tim Cahill header.

And as the game was fizzling out to a draw with United wasteful in front of goal they received their lifeline. Steven Pienaar brought down Ryan Giggs in the 88th minute and Ronaldo converted from the spot to score his 10th in the league this season, much to the relief of his manager.

Sir Alex Ferguson admitted he started to think maybe it was not going to be their day but couldn't hide his delight after his Portuguese maestro scored from the spot.

A relieved man indeed he should be, Everton deserved something out of the game.
