Reina's Relief: O'Shea Injured

Dangerous overconfidence is something that can be associated with most of our rivals when taking on us and it's clear that Liverpool keeper Reina shows the symptoms: the Spaniard declared that Liverpool should beat United on Sunday.

"We certainly have a lot of confidence about Sunday now,' he said. "We know we must be ready for United but it could be a great game in front of our own fans - and we expect to win.

"We have one of the best teams in Europe, although there are some tough teams in the Premier League and it`s a lot more difficult this year.'

Clearly, he is encouraged by the news that John O'Shea picked up a groin strain in Roma and therefore may be unavailable for Sunday. Reina knows only too well that he's unable to deal with the Irishman: as you surely remember, he palmed Ronaldo's free-kick straight into O'Shea's path in March and wrote his name onto the list of memorable goalkeeping gaffes in Liverpool v United game (king of the list is Jerzy Dudek of course).

A bit of an advice Pepe: practise quietly and don't shout your mouth off. You know, O'Shea might still play... and your other nightmare, Rio will also be there.

I think we have. Torres - Don't really need to say much about him. He's better than Tevez and Rooney. Kuyt - Might not be the best striker but brings so much to the team. Crouch - See Kuyt. Voronin - To be honest, not very impressed with him at the moment but he needs time.

Totally different players, maybe. But Rooney is employed as a striker and his job is to get goals, just like Torres'. Do I need to ask you who has more goals?

How exactly is Tevez better than the whole Liverpool squad? And Jakk, you've just walked into a trap cos Torres has scored more than Tevez. And is it possible to have an article which doesn't end in a slagging match?

Rooney played a lot less than Torres, don't forget his injuries... Anyway I agree with Jakk, Torres is the main goalscorer of Liverpool, the focal point of the attack like Ruud was for us. At United currently we have three players who share this burden: Tevez, Rooney and of course Ronaldo. Perhaps Torres will score more than any of them (though Ronaldo is ahead) but that is not just about quality, it's about different tactics and philosophies.
