Reina's Relief: O'Shea Injured

Dangerous overconfidence is something that can be associated with most of our rivals when taking on us and it's clear that Liverpool keeper Reina shows the symptoms: the Spaniard declared that Liverpool should beat United on Sunday.

"We certainly have a lot of confidence about Sunday now,' he said. "We know we must be ready for United but it could be a great game in front of our own fans - and we expect to win.

"We have one of the best teams in Europe, although there are some tough teams in the Premier League and it`s a lot more difficult this year.'


Clearly, he is encouraged by the news that John O'Shea picked up a groin strain in Roma and therefore may be unavailable for Sunday. Reina knows only too well that he's unable to deal with the Irishman: as you surely remember, he palmed Ronaldo's free-kick straight into O'Shea's path in March and wrote his name onto the list of memorable goalkeeping gaffes in Liverpool v United game (king of the list is Jerzy Dudek of course).

A bit of an advice Pepe: practise quietly and don't shout your mouth off. You know, O'Shea might still play... and your other nightmare, Rio will also be there.
