Ronaldo Comes Second

Ronaldo Comes Second

Milan's Kaka won the Ballon d'Or, beating United's Cristiano Ronaldo and Barcelona's Lionel Messi.

It was the first year that journalists from all over the globe voted for footballers from all over the world. In total 96 journalists voted, all of them were asked to comprise a list of five from the fifty candidates.

Details of the voting are unknown as yet but Kaka collected an astonishing 444 point with Ronaldo coming a distant second with 277. He only narrowly beat Lionel Messi who received 255.

I had already stated that Kaka deserved it and my opinion has not changed. However, Ronaldo deserves credit as he's been nothing short of magnificent in the past year and a half. Such form with such consistency is rarely produced by any player and it is the hallmark of the greatest ones.

Congratulations, Ronaldo, you deserved that second place.

disgrace! Ronaldo was the best player by far, playing in a stronger league, and having a bigger impact! AND, he did better for his country!!!

I Agree Pompeycarpet..I Belive Ronaldo Should Of Won The Balon'Dor As He Has Proved Himself To Be The Best Player In The Premiership And Also He Has Proved Himself For Hiis Country. Kaka Is Also An Outstanding Player But Ronaldo Has Been Amazing This Year.
