Rooney Tipped To Be Back With A Bang

Sir Alex believes Wayne Rooney, due to face Fulham on Monday, will have little trouble with settling into his rhytm.

Our number one striker has been in great form before his injury, scoring in almost every game (only the dubious goals's panel deprived him from another goal against Arsenal) but it's always a concern that how he will return after an injury.

Sir Alex Ferguson reckons Rooney will be at ease on his return as it was not exactly a long injury.

'Wayne has been training with the first team and has a few extra days to prepare, so I think he will be ready.

'He won't need any encouragement to play that is for sure.

'His endurance work is fine and his fitness levels are good. He has not even been out for a month so I wouldn't imagine it will take him a long time to get his rhythm.'

Fergie went on to praise Rooney's partnership with Carlos Tevez, something that was realy flourishing before the injury. It would be sad if the spark between them went out but the manager is optimistic on this front, too.

'His combination with Carlos has been really good.

'You do miss these players. There is no question about that. You cope but you still miss them. Wayne was on a good run of form before he got injured and hopefully he can continue it.'
