Ronaldo On The Shortlist

Ronaldo On The Shortlist

Cristiano Ronaldo has been included on FIFA's shortlist for the association's player of the year award.

The Portuguese winger will battle with Barcelona's Lionel Messi and Milan's Kaka for the award - and it would not be a surprise at all if these three occupied the imaginery podium of the Ballon d'Or award that's results are due to be published on Sunday.

Almost certain that both awards will be Kaka's but Ryan Giggs believes Ronaldo is a worthy candidate.

'I think he would be a worthy recipient of the world footballer of the year,' said Giggs.

'It is not just the quality of his game. His consistency over the last 12 to 18 months has been unbelievable.

'He seems to score in every other game for Portugal as well. People forget that.'

Why Kaka, he's a gimp. Ronaldo is a bit of a tw*t at times but I think he would be worthy of the award. What has Messi done? :S
