'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Fergie opts for Jose (AUDIO)

Speaking in his pre-match press conference ahead of the Fulham match, United boss Sir Alex Ferguson says England must consider Jose Mourinho if he puts his name forward for the managerial post vacated by Steve McClaren last week after his failure to progress to Euro 2008.

Fergie believes any top class manager should be considered by the FA, including himself and Arsene Wenger.

Following his FA charge for his sending off against Bolton Wanderers, Sir Alex says referees have to be more consistent as he considers the overall standard of officiating to be 'slipping.'

I Think Jose would be a good option. Probably the only manager apart from Fergie who can handle the media.

He'd be a great choice but what fecks me off is the world and his brither slagged Jose off when he managed us - what was it, boring football!
merlin
merlin thats just like those people, who when he managed us saw him as the villain, and now see him as the saviour of the English team. Talk of hypocrisy!
