Wayne Rooney will be back for next Monday's Premiership clash against Fulham after recovering from an ankle injury.
It was feared that the freak injury, suffered while playing head tennis, would keep him out for as long as four or five weeks thus rendering him a doubt for the crucial Premiership fixture at Anfield.
However, as usual with Wayne, he's made better progress than expected and it seems certain that Sir Alex can call him up against Lawrie Sanchez's men.
'Wayne's making good progress. He did some running last week and resumed training this week,' he's quoted as saying on SkySports.
'We are looking at him making his comeback against Fulham.'
Hopefully that means that our usual cutting edge will return. I'm still praying that Saha will be able to regain his 2006 form because at the moment we can't cope without Wayne due to the Frenchman's lack of sharpness.
