Garay - Another Defender For United?

Ezequiel Garay has admitted he would fancy a move to either Manchester United or Liverpool after rumours linking him with both clubs.

Racing's Argentinian defender is one of the hottest prospects in Europe right now and some admirable performances in the Spanish team's rearguard have reportedly caught the attention of Liverpool or Manchester United.

Now, the player himself stated he would like to play in England one day but he thinks only of Racing at the time.

'To play in England is a dream,' he told Sky Sports. 'But I insist that I do not want to talk about the hypothesis. I do not have any preferences about any clubs.

'My head is in Racing but like all professionals I would like to progress.

'But I have spoken with the directors of Racing only this week and there is no real news about me.'

OK. This is not a one-off rumour, it keeps popping up. So let's have a look at it. Essentially, he's a central defender. With Hyypia banging in own goals from every directions, I understand why Liverpool are keen on him but ourselves, with Rio, Vidic, Pique and Evans?

Of course, I heard weirder rumours before... you remember when Scholes was supposed to sign for Sunderland? Unforgettable, classic piece of rubbish.
