'If It's Football, It's Vital'

United v Rovers - Player Ratings!

Edwin van der Sar: Rarely troubled, another quiet afternoon for him at Old Trafford. 6

Wes Brown: Very enthusiastic when going forward, he offered a lot on the right wing yesterday. 7

Rio Ferdinand: Did his job confidently. 6

Nemanja Vidic: He dealt well with either Santa Cruz or McCarthy. 6

Patrice Evra: Another assured, confident, stylish display. Best left-back of the world at the moment. 7

Owen Hargreaves: He managed to be everywhere at the same time or so it seemed. Tackled everyone within reach, accomplished with the ball at his feet he clearly set out to prove he was a worthy acquisition. 7

Anderson: Lot of energy, lot of running, full of enthusiasm. However, there were uncharacteristically misplaced passes and sometimes displayed a lack of understanding with his teammates. Still learning. 6

Cristiano Ronaldo: Grabbed the man of the match award by grabbing two good goals. Maybe not at his tricky best but he decided the game. 8

Ryan Giggs: Fergie said he was exceptional... well, I don't think so. Some bad passes compensated with trickery but far from his best. 6

Carlos Tevez: Looked a bit lost on the left at times but caused problems for Rovers and his assist was of real quality. 7

Louis Saha: Needs time for adjusting; after all, it was his first start since October 2. Quiet but showing glimpses of skill. 6

Michael Carrick: Slotted in well but the game was over as a contest when he arrived. 6

Luis Nani: Not much to do, had a couple of good dribbles but that's all. 6

Boring game and that reflects on the ratings.
will it ever happen
Yeah, I agree. Though I love when we win boring games. Not much of a football purist I am.
