United had no trouble whatsoever with disposing of Dynamo and here is our opinion on individual performances.
Edwin van der Sar: Didn't have to make a single save before taken off at half-time. And didn't have to make one after that, too, obviously. 6
Danny Simpson: Allowed to roam forward as Dynamo offered very little in attack. Could have scored a goal but often sloppy in possession. 6
Gerard Pique: First ever Champions League start, first ever Champions League goal. At the back he had little trouble. 7
Nemanja Vidic: A stroll in the park for the Serbian. 6
Patrice Evra: Brilliant. A fantastic piece of skill on 64 minutes (check it out) and a delightfull pass to set up Ronaldo for the fourth goal. Always a threat in attack. 8
Cristiano Ronaldo: Still off-colour, tripped twice, often ran into trouble and crowds but scored a mesmerising goal. 7
Darren Fletcher: Saw a lot of the ball but wasn't good enough as a playmaker. That's not his job, though and overall it was a solid showing. b>6
Michael Carrick: Need to find his form and rhythm after his lengthy injury but positive signs with some good balls for his teammates. 6
Luis Nani: His corners were frustrating and too often drifted inside despite being much more efficient on the wings. Quality cross to Rooney. 7
Carlos Tevez: Brilliantly executed goal but should have added to his tally when Rooney set him up brilliantly. 7
Wayne Rooney: An assist for Tevez, another one that should have been an assist and a good goal. Very good contribution from the England striker. 8
Tomasz Kuszczak: Two good saves but not his most difficult game. Roma posed a somewhat bigger challenge earlier in this competition. 6
Louis Saha: One good pass to Nani before the third goal. Looked sharp. 6
Jonny Evans: No impact whatsoever but good to see him in action. 5
