Luzhny Returns!

Oleg Luzhny, once a laughable defender, returns to the scene of one of the biggest humiliations of his career.

Jozsef Szabo, Dynamo Kyiv's coach is suffering from heart problems and is therefore unable to take charge of his team. Temporarily, his assistant will step into his role. His name will be familiar: Oleg Luzhny.

Oh yes, the big guy who was playing for Arsenal. My last clear memories of him are from 2001: he was a mere spectator on that day despite being in the starting line-up as he was completely overrun by a rampant United who emerged 6-1 winners and had the title almost wrapped up.

Now, in the dugout, will he be haunted by the memories tomorrow when Kyiv visit Old Trafford in the Champions League? Hopefully. We wish a quick and full recovery for Mr. Szabo and a spectacularly unsuccessful debut as acting head coach for Mr. Luzhny!

Rocky, how did you accumulate all these Eastern European no-hopers? Just doesn't fit the bill, even more baffling that Fergie's efforts with the Djemba twins.
