Vidic: Not Conceding Means Victory

Nemanja Vidic aims to keep a clean sheet against Arsenal and claims that if they are successful at it, United will win due to the form of their attackers.

Late great Billy Meredith might not have thought that their four consecutive four-goal hauls will not be eclipsed until a century later so he probably saluted from above when seeing that the current team, led by Ronaldo, Rooney and Tevez beat that record.

This great achievement gives the basis of Nemanja Vidic's argument which is fairly simple: stop Arsenal from scoring and then United will win.

'Rooney and Tevez are playing so well at the moment, but it`s not just them; Ronaldo, Nani, every one of the attackers," he told The Sun.

"Arsenal have been playing very well. They are not just winning but playing good football too. I watched their match against Liverpool and thought they were especially good in the first half.

"But, at the back, we will take just as much pride from a clean sheet as our strikers will from scoring a goal. Arsenal will be a big test but I believe we can stop them and have another clean sheet to our names."

So be it!

If you win it'll blow all those illusions about the Arsenal Superkids out of the water!

i do think arsenal have some great young players and i would never knock them because we had our own group of young players that were the corner stone to our success from the early 90s to the present, but i dont think anyone fancies going up against the Serbinator and if he and Rio keep it tight Rooney and Tevez willbang em in at the other end..

Going to be a great game and with a few goals i reckon aswell. Hard to choose a winner so going for a 2-2 draw.
will it ever happen
Our starting line-up will be probably younger than Arsenal's... well, no, Edwin and the defence means our average age will be a little bit higher but look at the front four: Nani, Rooney, Tevez, Ronaldo... the oldest is 23!

ye no conceding...2 goals against us and a late one!! our defence was awful apart from evra
fenton_01
It's a bit harsh methinks: our defence was solid throughout but let themselves down horribly at the goals. Just can't see how these established internationals can commit such comical errors.
