Fergie: This Is The One

Fergie: This Is The One

Fergie believes it's now looking between Manchester United and Arsenal in the league.

With Saturday's clash looming, the usual talk and hype is underway. Wenger has already issued a warning to us after their 1-1 draw at Liverpool. Now it's Fergie's turn to speak and he was talking about the possible rivalry.

'At the moment I think it's looking between Arsenal and ourselves at the top.

'When you come to January, though, and it really does start, then you expect to see Liverpool and Chelsea.

'We have had some incredible injury situations, but over the last few years we've been like that at early season with a lot of injuries.

'I hope and pray that by the time we come to December - because the second half of the season is where it really begins - we have got a good strong squad together.

'I feel that once we get that strong squad together we are capable of going and winning the league again.'

A United v Arsenal race for the league crown? Sounds fascinating, like in the old times, you know. Blood thumping, fans are floating in daydreams and everyone is going on about how great their team are. It's so much more exciting than competing with Chelsea - who of course can't be written off yet...

He then ordered another large glass of gold watch and fell off his chair, the wittering old soak.
