Forget Arsenal, United Are The Best
Owen Hargreaves admitted Arsenal have performed above all expectations so far but still considers United to be superior to their North London rivals.
The two in-form superpowers are set to lock horns on Saturday in what promises to be an enthralling game. Though I personally feel that the advantage of playing at home gives Arsenal a slight edge, Hargreaves thinks we are the better team and therefore we should win.
'Arsenal have played extremely well and are playing some lovely football but I still think we are the top team in England,' he said.
'It will be a fabulous game for the fans to enjoy but we are very confident going into it.'
Okay, reading these comments you will realise that the above headline was a shameless attempt at getting as many people as possible coming here and express their views on the matter as Hargreaves merely stated that they are confident going into the match.
But really, that's what you should do, express your view on the matter. Are United better than the Arsenal?
If you want to know my personal opinion (and if not you have the chance to simply stop reading) I believe that form-wise there's nothing between the two teams and neither of the managers can claim superiority on the basis of past meetings as they are nicely balanced.
Yet in terms of squad depth and sheer player quality, I think we have the edge, especially due to the Rooney-Tevez partnership and our embarassment of riches on the wings. Arsenal also lack cover at centre-back. Of course this does not mean that we will beat them - I just think that over a long season we definitely have a better chance.
But that's only personal opinion of course.

Oh this is gunna be a good one, possibly the best so far. I can't remember an Arsenal - Man Utd game when the two teams were in such hot form going into the match. It will be feisty for sure. Lets just hope we dont cancel each other out and end with a dull 1-1 draw.

Can't wait for this one. About bloody time the old top of the table rivalry came back to Arsenal and Utd. I bet your lot are happy that it's not boring as feck chelski you are in contention with at the mo. It's gonna be a barn burner. I think the football we are playing is superior to everyone in the league right now. Not discounting Utds credentials of course, but you gotta admit, we are looking ruddy awesome.

United are strong at the back and strong up front, but Arsenal are stronger in midfield. If arsenal defend well then our defence is as good as uniteds. I think sometimes games are won and lost in midfield so as long as we restrict united to having few chances I think our midfield will boss play enough to turn the game to Arsenal. needless to say, Rooney and Ronaldo are the dangermen for united.

It's hard to pick between the two the way they're playing. Probably the two most in form, most entertaining teams in all of Europe, just doing the business. As a Gooner I'd be happy with a point (even at home), as we do have a game in hand. But it could go either way. Fabregas vs Hargraves is going to be an awesome battle...the game could be won or lost right there. Can't wait for Saturday.

Despite how well and confidently both sides are playing, I wouldn't be surprised if the game is a bit flat, simply because either manager will not want to lose. So of course they'll try to win the game - but not probably all-out, both being mindful of the threat from the opposition.

agree with gooner_vin: the game should be a classic but most certainly won't be though it's hard to recall any clash in english football which the two teams approached in such blazing form.

my favourite game of the season its all i can think about and i hope we do you guys in, we have the quality and desire and alot more to prove than you guys. i think our midfield will be the deciding factor...may the best team on the day win

Hey, rooneyisgod, remember the game at Highbury in 2003: looked like a title decider and was full of good football, controversy and passion, ended in a 2-2 draw... Great game. And I could mention our 4-2 win in 2005, that was a real cracker, possibly the best Arse v United game in the Fergie era.

should be a cracker with two evenly matched sides on form , dont think the Gunners home advantage will count for as much as it did at the old spiritual home of Highbury ( no slight ) I honestly think United are firing on all cylinders now and fully expect them to come out on top here ,, hope so !!!
