Though he hauled Edwin van der Sar off in Kyiv, Sir Alex stated that the Dutchman has no fitness problems.
The veteran keeper was replaced by Tomasz Kuszczak 10 minutes from time and many feared that he had picked up an injury.
This is not the case and Edwin will start in goal against Middlesbrough on Saturday.
'Edwin wasn't hurt,' said Fergie.
'It was in my mind to bring Tomasz on even though we conceded the second. I was not going to change it.'
To be honest, I was raging at the ITV (and Setanta) for not asking the boss about it, for I was worried about a possible injury to Edwin so it's good to hear there's no problem.
