Injuries? Who Cares!

Patrice Evra, Paul Scholes, Michael Carrick, Owen Hargreaves, Louis Saha, Gary Neville, Mikael Silvestre, Ji-sung Park, Ben Foster: they are all out injured at the moment but United will fly, says Giggs.

Evra and Scholes are the latest victims of the injury curse though the Frenchman sat on the bench at Kyiv. Sir Alex Ferguson is thus forced to constantly reshuffle his side but the champions are coping well and will continue to do so, according to Ryan Giggs.

'There was no disruption,' he said after the 4-2 win in Ukraine.

'The manager has chopped and changed this season already, whether that be due to injuries, or suspensions or whatever and we have coped with it, just as we coped with what happened in Kiev.

'It just proves the value of having a good squad.

'I think a few players are due to come back shortly and once that happens, we will start to look strong again.'

Who are those players due back shortly? Well, first of all, Owen Hargreaves who could even feature on Saturday and has a good chance of making the game at the Emirates on November 3. Gary Neville could be back in a fortnight and Louis Saha's fitness is assessed before every game as he's got the usual niggling injury.

Carrick is still three weeks away and we won't see Park, Silvestre and Foster until next year. Scholes could miss three weeks if the scan confirms that an operation is required but Evra should be ready for Middlesbrough.

Anyway, Giggs is right. We should moan about injuries only if things are going badly. If we score four goals per game, we must be happy with the way things going.

I'd be happier to score five goals a game... but hey, i'm not that fussy! :)
