Worried teammates warned Anderson: he must curb his lifestyle to succeed at United.
News of the Brazilian's poolside orgy where Ronaldo and Nani were also present spread like fire a few weeks ago. And reports suggest the talented boy, signed from Porto this year, has a knack for nightlife but must not get consumed by it.
Some of his senior teammates are reportedly worried by his antics and decided to warn him. They gave the youngster a dressing down, telling him that confronting Fergie in this issue could end his United career before it really started.
We all know what's Fergie's ideal footballer like: no social life, no wife, living alone and happy to play football all the time, non-stop, 24 hours a day. Anderson is hardly that type but must understand the principles. Established stars like Norman Whiteside and Paul McGrath were shown the exit door when could not give up boozing.
Anderson is a huge talent, someone who if focuses on his career, could reach tremendous heights in football. And he can be dead sure that Fergie is the best man to help him to those heights. The fiery Scot certainly knows how to nurture a youngster and what are the greatest dangers looking for him on the road to greatness.
It cannot be easy for a 19-year-old Brazilian to completely change his life: after all, Brazil and Porto are similar in many senses while Manchester is entirely different. But if he aims to succeed here then he should heed the advice of someone who knows this city and this club inside-out.
This warning, administered by teammates, show that we have a real team here. Our players want the new boy to succeed, to fulfil his potential and apparently they are ready to help him. They know that you should avoid Fergie's wrath whenever possible and did not hesitate to stress it for a potentially brilliant player. Hopefully he'll heed their advice, too.
