Pride And Joy For Ronaldo!

Cristiano Ronaldo pledged his future to Manchester United by saying he would like to play here for many more years.

Real Madrid do not give up easily so it's an ominous sign that no rumours link Ronaldo with them. A five-year-contract is not something that usually disturbs the masters of tapping up so they might feel that Ronaldo does not want to leave.

And if they feel that, they're dead right as the winger loves Old Trafford if we can believe what he writes in his new book.

'At the exact moment I put on the Red Devils shirt, I felt sure Manchester United was the ideal club for me, for my development as a player and a person,' he stated.

'Four years have passed since I first walked onto the Old Trafford pitch. Today I consider it one of my homes.

'Without a lie, I can declare that I feel immense pride and joy at representing this great world club.

'Here at Manchester United is where I feel happy. So much so that I have no problem in saying that I would like to stay here for many more years.'

We would like nothing better than that, I think.

Not at his best yet but he was our best player on Saturday by a mile. Don't think he'll finish his career here, I would say he'll leave for Spain in four or five years time.
