The big centre-back would never leave United as he'd dread to face our attackers who give him enough problems at trainings.
United's forward men are less than impressive so far this season but their qualities are undeniable and Ferdinand would hate face them while playing for another club.
'I'd never leave this club to go anywhere where I might have to play against those two! No chance.
'I play against them enough in training. Carlos is similar to Rooney in that he's not afraid to make a tackle and they work hard for the team.
'Carlos gets in the holes between midfield and defence.
'If he can keep doing that and slipping the ball through to Wayne, they'll become a formidable pairing.
Many say they can't become a good pairing because they are too similar and these people say that their performances together prove this. However, they miss the point: when the whole team is so below-par, you can't judge the effectiveness of a partnership.
Of course it's no secret that they would probably be the most effective with Saha and Ferdinand believes that with the Frenchman, United have got something special in attack.
'Physically, Louis is a great specimen. His movement, when he is fit, is probably the best in the world.
'If you add Louis to that pair, then we've got something really special when we get them all fit.
'And Ronaldo's movement was the best I've seen for a long time. We know we've got a great player on our hands already. 'And if he can keep improving, then great. They all offer different propositions.
'If we can keep winning and improving, then we're on the right track.'
Well, you don't need to be a genius to work out that a team that is improving and winning at the same time is on the right track. But are we improving? Probably we'll have an answer on Tuesday night.
