Piqué: It Was Horrible

The Spanish defender admits that the defeat against Coventry will be one of the most horrible memories of his career.

Pique who spent last season on loan at Primera Liga side Zaragoza looked slow and out of his depth... much to the dismay of himself.

'Looking up at the scoreboard at the final whistle and seeing 2-0 was a horrible feeling, especially when you're up against a Championship side at Old Trafford,' he told the official website.

'I thought we started the game well and had some good possession. But their first goal brought them alive.

'After the break we didn't feel good and when they scored the second it was a horrible feeling.

'We know we did a lot of things wrong, but you can always learn from these situations and hopefully we will grow as players.

'Some people will think we've missed our chance. We're all very disappointed.

'We gave everything we could on the pitch, but things just didn't go our way.'

Well, as I've stated before, I very much hope they only had a bad day... during their loan spell most of these players looked very good, not to mention Anderson with Porto in the Champions League...

I'm surprised you still haven't sold him. He's not even a decent backup for your squad.
RussianHammer
of course he is, other than last night, have you actually seen pique play at all russianhammer, because if you did you would know that he took la liga by storm last season and gained plaudits by the best spain has to offer!
united4life
he did very well for zaragoza, got them into the uefa cup i believe.
toffeetower
Yes, he featured quite often for a more than decent team, Zaragoza were in contention for the Champions League places for a long time!
