Carlos Tevez, The Next United Legend

Argentine superstar Diego Maradona revealed he feels Carlos Tevez is like his son.

And the legendary player, scorer of the infamous 'Hand of God' goal in 1986, believes Tevez who got off the mark for United against Chelsea has everything to become a legend at Old Trafford.

'Tevez is like a son to me - from the moment I met him I have felt like that,' Maradona told the Mirror.

'I met him six years ago when he was at Boca Juniors and instantly I could see he was going to be great. He reminded me of when I was his age - the hunger and the passion for the game. Every second he had a ball with him he was happy.

'He is a fantastic player. He is very strong on the ball and has amazing vision.'

'We are still so close and my ex-wife and his wife are very good friends. I can't wait to get over to England and see him and for him to come to watch me play.

'I will make sure he sees a good game when we play England. I still have the hunger to play well and score goals and that's what I will do.'

On October 6, against Wigan, any Maradona fans can try and get an autograph because he had already arranged a trip for that game. Later he will take part in the 1986 quarter-final's rematch. He has no problems with the English, though - in fact, he feels Tevez's partnership with Rooney will be a devastating one.

'Rooney is a fantastic player - young and fearless and has a passion for winning. As a pair Rooney and Tevez have everything. You just need to make sure their styles are suited - only time will tell.

i'm sure he has... chelski fans need to address their teams problems b4 making fun of others at the moment... Hmmm, I wonder if one can buy a Premiership...
alexpant
They could but then sold one of the key elements...

IŽd say Tevez looks more like knuckle dragging pondlife, and Sir Alkie...well he looks like ...himself. :)))

BITC, you clearly need some strong stuff to get you back on track. Jose's departure has completely got you off your rails it seems. Fortunately, our season does not depend on the Carling Cup... I know it's strange for you, who are unable to beat Rosenborg but we actually have a chance of winning the Premiership and/or the Champions League, you know...
