Unlucky Silvestre Strike Lucky

Unlucky Silvestre Strike Lucky

Knee-injury victim Mikael Silvestre will be back in March, according to Sir Alex Ferguson.

The French defender suffered the injury at Everton and the first diagnosis claimed he would not play again this season. However, after his surgery things look better.

'I'm sure Mikael will be back in March,' Sir Alex told the official website.

'We had him operated on in France last week and it all went well. It was pleasing to see there was no further damage other than the cruciate ligament. That's a big bonus because sometimes there can be cartilage problems that also come along.'

That's good but will Mikael ever be a complete, fit player? I doubt it. He's too old to shake off the effects of such a horrible injury. May he prove me wrong.

Yeah, all right, but what will we do if Evra gets injured (or feels jaded) before March? OK, I know, Anderson...
