United v Chelsea - Team News!

Both United and Chelsea will be without important players for Sunday's league fixture.

The Red Devils take on a wounded Chelsea on Sunday afternoon. Our most notable absentees will be Gary Neville and Owen Hargreaves who had been tipped to play in this game but they are not fit enough.

'Owen Hargreaves is in training and improving all the time, he's in contention for Coventry,' the official website quotes Sir Alex.

'Gary Neville has joined first team training, but the Coventry game will be too early for him. We'll be looking at 7-10 days. For Sunday's game against Chelsea we'll be relying mainly on Wednesday's squad.'

Louis Saha, Wayne Rooney and Carlos Tevez are all fit and available, with Giggs, Ronaldo, Nani and Anderson all in contention United have an embarassment of riches in attack.

Mikael Silvestre, Darren Fletcher and John O'Shea are all out so it's defending that might be our Achilles heel tomorrow but Brown, Vidic, Ferdinand and Evra are available so we need to worry only because of injuries.

Chelsea have far great problem: JosÚ Mourinho has left the club, apparently sparking a furious reaction from key players like, most notably, Didier Drogba.

The Ivorian striker, along with defender Ricardo Carvalho and midfielder Frank Lampard, is a major doubt so Chelsea might be deprived of a formidable spine.

It looks certain that the symbol of the frosty relationship between Abramovich and Mourinho will partner Salomon Kalou up front; I'm of course talking about Shevchenko who come to epitomise everything that has gone wrong at the Blues... He played a stinker last season at Old Trafford and I'm looking forward to the same.
