Liverpool Punished? No Way!

David Gill has written a letter to the Premier League to accuse Liverpool of tapping up Gabriel Heinze.

The Argentinian, once a cult hero at Old Trafford, turned on the style big time and had the cheeks to ask for a move to Liverpool who, he claimed, made the best offer to him.

United haven't agreed a transfer fee with the dippers so if they really made an offer to Heinze himself, than that's a classic case of tapping up, even more obvious than the Cashley saga.

If the Premier League agrees, then the club will launch a formal complaint and Liverpool will be charged and face punishment. Don't hold your breath though.

We all know that you can't even celebrate a goal against them without being punished yet their players and ex-players are free to provoke the fans (I'm talking about Robbie Fowler, in case someone haven't realised) so why would they be punished now?

Of course, after Benitez's ridiculous rant about how the fixture list, the referees, the weather and the global warming are against them, it's worth a try to see whether the Premier League have the guts to punish them. But I don't think so.

Stam's exit from Old Trafford in August 2001 came shortly after his autobiography was published amid controversy. He claimed that Ferguson had illegally tapped him up before buying him from PSV Eindhoven and revealed blunt insights from the United dressing room......POT/KETTLE/KN*BHEAD

United wasnt top same time last year Gerrybeccket.... Afterall the title is not handed out by xmas... I wonder if Rafa will still be playing the reserves for EPL games, so that he can go for the Ch.League, like last year... Lets see how durable and consistent this Liverpool side is first, then talk about first place, yeah?

Liverpool have got you lot and chelski worried this season we have your number you lot know it, rafa has got a great squad we can play 2 teams, can you lot NO you cant dont get me wrong you have a great starting 11 but after that what have you got...............NOTHING............ and that is what the old git(fergie) is worried about you haven't got good enough cover when players like fatboy(rooney) and the plastic solider(ronaldo) are injuried or suspended and you have proved that this season already. what would you lot do if rooney and ronaldo both broke a leg or ankle and was out for months on end, what would happen to your title hopes oh yeah i know you wouldn't have any it is as simple as that
