Sven Offers His Sympathy

Sven Offers His Sympathy

Sven-Göran Eriksson believes Rooney's injury is a blow to United and disaster for England, for the striker is irreplaceable.

Of course, the man whose spell at the England helm earned him few friends and even less admirers should be happy as he does not have to face the threat of the Roonster next Sunday. However, it seems that he's got England's best interests at his heart. How touching.

'I don't know how many games he will miss for England but I suppose Steve McClaren is not happy about that. It's very, very bad luck - as before the World Cup.

'Of course England have other quality players but it's a simple fact that in this country you don't have two Rooneys, you have only one.

'There are other good players but Rooney is Rooney and that's it.'

He added that he felt very sorry for Wayne who, in his opinion, is rather unlucky.

'It's unlucky and of course it's bad for Manchester United and it's bad for England.'

Just heard about this one, what´s wrong with this fella? As soon as he gets fit, he injures his feet.
