We're only one game into the new season and Man United boss Sir Alex Ferguson's bid to retain the Premier League title. £50m was spent by the Champions in the summer, however a goalless draw at home to Reading was not the ideal start, made worse by a broken foot for Wayne Rooney, confirmed to keep him out for around 8 weeks.

Fergie says his side should have won after dominating possession throughout, and now faces a problem with lack of strikers following Rooney's injury, with Louis Saha injured and Carlos Tevez short of match fitness.
