Tevez Is Finally Ours

Carlos Tevez has completed his protracted move to Manchester United today.

The Hammers have reached a compromise last week with the players' representative, Kia Joorabchian but United needed the Premier League's ratification to go ahead with the deal.

Sir Alex had expressed his contentment over the Prem's intense scrutiny: he had said it would leave no doubt over the clarity of the transfer, which cannot be overlooked in this case.

It seems the League are happy with all the details of the deal; unsurprising, as it's reported to be very similar to the one that took Javier Mascherano to Liverpool.

The player has arrived on a two-year loan deal but United have an option to buy him when this period expires. That will be another interesting summer but now we should be happy it's over.

He could play against Reading but Carlos Queiroz and Fergie both confirmed that he's not fit yet. The gaffer, however, stressed how great Tevez had done in training so we can be almost sure to see him in the derby game a week later.

What a relief. We can now concentrate on the real business. Good luck to him and welcome to Old Trafford!
