Bye Bye Giuseppe!

Manchester United have sold young Italian prospect Giuseppe Rossi to Villarreal, for an undisclosed fee.

Rossi, who had been subject to much rumours all summer has finally left the Old Trafford club and though the news is sure to disappoint many fans, especially you Zae, what it does show is Utd`s growing confidence in the Tevez deal, with Sir Alex Ferguson confident enough to sell player such as Rossi and presumably Smith, in order to make way for Tevez who is set to find out where his future lies on August 24th, after the three day hearing goes ahead at the high court, to be held on August 22nd.

Though the amount Utd will gain from selling Rossi is yet to be confirmed, BBC are reporting a deal in the region of £6.7 million pounds, which if true, would be a great deal for the club.

So, I`m sorry to say its "Bye Bye" to Rossi, but Utd fans don`t worry because I suspect come August 24th (or earlier, Ferguson hasn`t ruled it out) we will have forgotten all about Rossi when an unnamed Argentinean star comes to Old Trafford!

Yes, I'd urge everyone to take out Fletcher from the also-rans category. He's developed into a fine squad player, he's the new Nicky Butt :-) Anyway, I'm sad to see Rossi go and I daresay he could have been useful this season. Rooney, Tevez, Saha, Rossi, Solskjaer, that would have been a good strikeforce.
