'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Heinze Flattered By Interest

Gabriel Heinze has not yet made a decision on his future but honoured to be linked with Liverpool and Real Madrid.

The player does not seem desperate to leave and stressed he's comfortable at Old Trafford.

'The interest in me from important teams such as Liverpool, Juventus and Real Madrid makes me feel proud,' Heinze told the Daily Express.

'But I still don't know what I'm going to do in the future and I'm going to start thinking about that after the Copa America.

'I feel comfortable in Manchester and I'm very grateful for everything I've received there.'

However, all this uncertainty about his own future does not prevent Heinze luring other players, namely his fellow countryman Carlos Tevez, to Old Trafford.

'It makes me feel very happy that Tevez might come to United. If everything goes okay he will be joining an amazing club.

'If Manchester United want a player it's because they are classy.

Well, this theory does not explain why we wanted the Djemba twins but never mind, Tevez is obviously a class act.

'It's the same with Tevez. If United want him it is because he has what it takes to be an important player for them.'

As Liam Miller had, didn't he? OK, I'll shut up.

who needs heinze when you can have konchesky? ;)
Mike Forest.
Do you reckon he will come to us?
Eusebio
Sensible option would be Madrid!

There's nothing in the article that explicitly says he wants to leave which is a positive sign. That leaves the hope that he'll stay. Sadly hope has always disappointed me.

bad move if fergie gets rid of heinze IMHO

Why let Heinze go when Silvestre is still on the books at utd and Pique may be going back to Spain, Heinze is the only one Utd can rely on to adequately cover Vidic and Ferdinand in the centre so let Silvestre leave and keep Heinze

Going to Real Madrid is never a sensible option. Just ask Capello...
