Rossi Plans Talks

Giuseppe Rossi has once again expressed his desire to stay at Manchester United next season, and has revealed that he plans to have talks with Sir Alex Ferguson regarding his future.

Talking after Italy U21`s 4-1 win over Czech Republic, a match which ironically saw the Azzurrini knocked out of the completion despite Rossi scoring a fantastic fourth goal, Rossi told Sky Sports,

'I'll just be going back this summer, and then I will have a talk to see what to do. I want to stay and play for Manchester United, let's hope so. There is a good chance.'

When asked if he thought Sir Alex was watching when his superb strike hit the back of the net, he replied,

'Let's hope he was!'

This is certainly great news for our club, and anyone who has watched Rossi will know that he has the potential to be a real hit at Manchester United. He is so good in fact, that he left the Italy U21 coach, a man who by far lived up to his potential, Gianfranco Zola, ruing his mistake in leaving Rossi out of large parts of their campaign. Speaking after Italy`s exit from the competition, Zola said,

"Giuseppe is an important player, but at the start so was Palladino, so we thought it was right to keep faith with Raffaele. Obviously with hindsight you can say many things, but at the time we thought that was the right thing to do."

Let`s hope that Sir Alex doesn`t make this same mistake, and gives Rossi the chances to shine next season and hopefully establish himself as a top-quality striker who could lead our line for years to come.
