Giggs Wants 115 Year Record

Ryan Giggs hopes the FA Cup replay with non-league Burton can spur him onto becoming a record breaker.

Giggs missed out on an historic fifth winners' medal in the final against Arsenal, and that would have equalled the record.

Only three players have previously achieved the feat - Blackburn's Jimmy Forrest was the last in 1891 - 115 years ago!

Giggs: 'Records are not important to me at this stage and I don't consciously think about them, but they are something I will be able to look back on proudly when I have finished.

'We have done well in the FA Cup for the last couple of seasons and we are aware we need to do well in domestic competitions this year, so we are looking to get to the final again.

'I guess most people wouldn't expect us to play against Burton twice but we had a similar scenario with Exeter last year, so it can happen.

'You have to give Burton credit for working so hard to get the result but we just need to make sure we concentrate and finish them off this time.'
