Giggs Goes For The Tenth

Giggs Goes For The Tenth

Ryan Giggs revealed his desire to win yet another league title with Manchester United.

The Welsh Wizard has just won the 9th title of his career that has mde him an all-time recorder in England. However, he does not settle for this glory, he wants more as always.

'I am already looking forward to playing in a season where everyone refers to us as champions.

'I want to go on and win it again. I don't want to dwell on achievements.

'I still feel like there's work to be done. Even after winning the league this season, I just want next year to come.

'The satisfaction of winning this one was really high because the standard required to win the league is so much higher now than in previous years.

'The bar has been raised - first by Arsenal and then by Chelsea - since we last won it in 2003.

'It was a big challenge for us, but also for every club in the league because Chelsea have got the financial capability to go out and buy any player they want.

'When they are all fit, they could put two teams out - and two quality teams at that.

'We are lucky in the respect that they had a few injuries. Up until the last few weeks, we were reasonably okay in terms of injuries.

'But I think we were due that bit of luck because we have had injuries in the past few seasons and that's really worked against us. But we certainly made the most of it.'

And injuries are the most damaging in the final weeks of the season, as the team of '92 could well testify so our luck has been overstated a bit - everyone should remember that at one point we had our entire first-choice defense out...
