Ruud To Make Money For Glazers

United will net Ł1 million if Real Madrid win La Liga due to the deal that took Ruud van Nistelrooy to the Bernabeu - and another million due to the Beckham deal.

Personal emotions aside, United fans should cheer on Real Madrid to beat Mallorca on the weekend. I would do that anyway as Ruud and Becks deserve to win the title but that would bring some good money for United.

Los Merengues drew 2-2 at Zaragoza thanks to a brace by van Nistelrooy on Saturday, the second coming in the 89th minute. A few seconds later Espanyol equalised at Barcelona thus handing the initiative back to Real.

If Madrid defeat Mallorca they will win the league. In this case the clauses in the deals of Beckham and Van Nistelrooy will be triggered, handing United a nice Ł2 million - Ł1M for Beckham's title, Ł500,000 for Ruud's and Ł500,000 if the Dutchman finishes as top scorer of the league.

So Hala Madrid!

nice to see Ruud doing well

I feared he would do badly in Spain, putting his career on an unstoppable slide but it did not happen, fortunately.

i also thought his career was over but hes done brilliant but i dont think he would have hit that many goals for us.
