'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Queiroz Wants Fergie's Job

Carlos Queiroz revealed that he wants everything: the Premiership, the Champions League and Fergie's job...

United's assistant manager aspires to great things - he wants to win every trophy we happen to meet during the season.

'We want to go for everything next season,' Queiroz told the People. 'We always want the maximum.

'I want the league and Champions League. We came close this season, so we have to take advantage of that experience to try again next season.

'Chelsea suffered last season in the league. We have shown that we have a better squad than Chelsea and that is why we won the league.

'And now we have strengthened our side even more with the arrival of Nani and Anderson. If each one gives us half as much as Cristiano Ronaldo is giving us then we will be more than satisfied.'

So will I but I happen to be not one of the greatest supporters of Queiroz - who wants to be the manager. If Nani and Anderson will be successful I may reconsider my opinion of him but right now my heart is not exactly singing at the prospect of Carlos at the helm.

'With just a few changes to the side we are prepared to be champions again.

'Sir Alex Ferguson still has a great desire, even more so after winning the title. He wants to go one step at a time and has no set date for his goodbye. At the moment it is ruled out.

'I am learning every day at this club. It is not up to me, but it is logical that I would like to be one day the manager of Manchester United.'

Logical but is it good for us? We'll see... or not.
