You Want Berbatov!

A healthy amount of voters would buy Berbatov if they were called Sir Alex Ferguson: Spurs' Bulgarian wonder collected 38%.

The poll, suggested by rooneyisgod seems to have lost its actuality, with David Gill coming close to rule out more arrivals. However, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar can be proud of finishing quite close to Berbatov with 22% of the votes.

Fernando Torres' 12% is a bit embarassing for such a quality player but no doubt that Eto'o would feel even more aggrieved if he saw he had received only 18% of the votes.

As I have said, it seems unlikely that we'll sign any more players. Our latest poll asks whether you are satisfied with our transfer activity!

i now think we do not really need a stiker - hopefully saha will stay, and with rooney, smith, dong, solskjaer (possibly rossi) and anderson we are well covered in attack. i also like the idea someone posted yesterday which had nani and anderson on the wings with roonay and ronaldo leading the line, and with queiroz's latest comment suggests we will see these 4 as our main attack force, if not next season then certainly in the future, with carrick and hargreaves in the centre. The future sure looks bright for Manchester United!!!!

keep wish you had the best striker in the world, but spurs have him, we will show lennon to top one of the best wingers next season, and we will prove to have some of the worlds most respected centre defenders and goalkeeper too, not to mention the best right full back

And then the Gormless Chavs show up! There life is so boring, the have to nose at other clubs' forums for anything football. Berba, BitC is Lilywhite! He had his first season, a rookie season, and only scored 23 goals. Next season, will be his first real season! SAF knows a great striker when he sees one. But BitC (really needs that H to finish him off nicely) can't accept it! Muppet!!! Oh, and shame you haven't Chimbonda! COYS!!!

I am dissapointed because I watch Nani and Anderson regularly. Nani is a one trick pony who will never emulate Chritiano. Anderson will not last half a season belive me. Berbatov is class and we should have gone full out for him.

Berbatov always wanted to stay at Spurs. Ronaldo used to be a one-trick pony and look where he is now! And why do you think Anderson will not last half a season?

Yea, it takes us Yids to make your site work. Look at the number of posts Manc fans make on Vital Football... it's pitiful. Perhaps most you can't use a keyboard because of the prawn cocktail sauce on your fingers... No wonder Dimitar wants to stay at the Lane - he's appreciated by fans who know their football rather than being glory-hunters.

By the way, both Anderson and Nani are excellent. Hargreaves is very far behind them ability wise. I can see why fergie has went for the Porto and Sporting players but Hargreaves puzzles me.

Well, he might not have had a chance to prove it in the Premiership yet but Klaas Jan Huntelaar is, I think, destined for great things. If United sign him then they won't be disappointed. Personally, I'm hoping that he's heading for Anfield but if Sir Alex Ferguson does nab his signature then I think that you can start popping the champagne corks because this guy will give you 20-30 goals a season easily.

For Blueisthecolour. If you have ever watched Berbatov in a game, you will see that his touch, vision and assist rate mirror that of Henry apart from Berbatov has done better in his first Pfremiership season. He scores goals, sets up goals, has quick feet, good hold-up play - everything you need in a striker. In my opinion, Berbatov would be a great asset to ManU but hes staying with Spurs!

Why are all these tottenham scummers polluting our site?, is it because they are jeleous, ashamed of thier pathetic excuse for a team and want to see whats happening at a team with GENUINE ambitions for silverware, is it because they are all so insecure, and realise they are a selling club (ie. carrick) and the reason berbatov isnt coming is that we dont really need him, and bale didnt come because he is not ready for top-class football and wants to join a team where is guareanteed to start however ***** he plays, and when he is more experienced he WILL hand in a transfer request to move onto bigger and brighter things than the *****hole that is white hart lane, or is is that all these "so-called" spurs fans who live "right round the corner" (dont quite know what he meant, but give credit where credit's due, he did manage to spell all 4 words correctly, WELL DONE!!) are just plain *****ers!?!?!?!?!?!

Wow. What a bunch of drivel has been written here. To be fair, it's no worse, really, than Vital Chelsea or Vital Spurs. There seems to be something in the Vital water that turns posters into idjuts. It always makes me laugh when fans get all self-righteous about their club, and about fans of others, and go making broad, sweeping generalistions about the entire fanbase. Anyway, as a Spurs fan, I was cheering on Utd, as they play better football, and are far more worthy Champions, than Chelsea, but the histrionics from people like united4life really do you lot no favours. Bottom line mate, the Author put Berbatov in the topic title, so this shows up all over Tottenham Newsnow. You're gonna get Spurs fans visiting in that case, aren't you? So, no need for your bitchy little digs as displayed in your long posting. Get off your high horse, old bean, and get a sense of humour or something. Or smoke a spliff. Or get laid. Or just carry on and keep making yourself look a bell-end. Your choice.

We need to sign a striker, saha is second rate, ole's too old, smith will always give us a bite and aggression up front but he's not prolific and rooney is not a 30 goal a season striker, he's more of a second striker playing off a front man so we had better be putting a call into ajax and starting a deal for huntelaar, there were moments this season when we missed what someone like van nistelrooy brought to us, the 2 chances against milan in the san siro being a good example of how we missed a goal poacher, theres no doubt berbatov would be a good signing but lets face it spurs dont need to and wont sell him and when you think about it not many prem clubs are prepared to do business with another rival prem club so lets get huntelaar on board

Decepticon: the problem is not Spurs fans coming here but the manner in which a lot of your fellows express their views on the matter. I have stated in the article that Berbatov's arrival is close to the impossible yet a lot of fans felt an urge to tell us that United are crap and Berbatov will not come here...

01/06/2007 23:59:00

bottom line...berbatov is a fantastic player; he should be top of your shopping list (and I guess he is). but the truth is, you dont have a hope in hell of getting him, and that's why you are turning to second rate options like anelka.
