Park Not Out For A Year

Ji-sung Park is in Korea after his knee operation and stressed his recovery will not last a whole year.

The midfielder picked up the injury against Blackburn on March 31 and has not featured since. His injury had not looked serious at the first sight but later it turned out he needed surgery.

Now it's unsure when he will play again but contrary to media reports he won't be out for a year.

'For the next two months, my knee doesn't need much attention, so I've been allowed to come to Korea,' Park told Korean reporters. 'The medical staff keep in touch with me.

'Unlike the media's expectations, it will not a last year, but I cannot say exactly how long it will take.

'A medical check in August will decide when I will come back.

'I want to stay in South Korea when Manchester United come, if they allow it. I strongly hope so.'

Best of wishes to Park, of course but I'm not sure if he'll be able to watch our games in Korea. I mean, what if the AFC decides there will be some kind of very important event there, too and they will press us to cancel the matches? It's possible.

But at least Sepp Blatter praised United for cancelling our Malaysian tour. If the Asian Cup becomes a success, we must be proud of our role in making it a great event.

Park is an integral part of Fergie's squad.
SweetLeftFoot
he is a great player and he got injured just as he was really starting to get goals

Got injured twice, you mean... three months absence before Christmas and now he's out again... very unfortunate guy. Too many fans don't like him cause he's not as good as Ronaldo or Giggs but he's still very valuable.
