Saha Plus Cash For Berbatov?

Oh my god. A terrible rumour appeared in today's tabloids: led by the Sun, they suggested United would buy Dimitar Berbatov for Ł27,5M PLUS Louis Saha...

I decided to publish it out of our usual rumour mill because it's such obvious nonsense that I could not ignore.

Berbatov's had an exceptional first season in the Premiership, that's true. The Ł11M Spurs had paid for him looks like a real bargain - but Ł27,5M for a striker?

The last man who commanded such a fee at United was Wayne Rooney - ROONEY! Please, I'd like to ask all the tabloids to get a grip.

And of course that 27,5M is not the full amount. You must add the value of Saha into the equation. I think he's worth Ł10M despite all his injury problems so that means that according to the Sun we offer Ł37,5M for a single striker.

What I'd like to know that when they write such things what are their intentions? I just can't believe they seriously think United would spend so much on Berbatov - but then why do they have to print things like that?

Of course, a story of 'Berbatov going to United for Ł17M would not sell the paper very well... but at least it would have a touch of realism.

Saha is worth £10 mill. You're having a laugh mate. We don't want Mr. Glass, you can keep him and we'll keep the god that is Berbatov. Oh and before I forget thanks for not having the good sense to pay Southampton's asking price and letting an incredible talent like Bale fall right into our hands. COYS!!!!
Officer X
firstly i think saha is worth more then 10 million and second i would much prefer evra then bale
rooneyisgod
true, with evra and heinze bake would never had played - he would be just another theo walcott
united4life
*bale* even.................sorry
united4life
Theo Walcott played 29 games for Arsenal last season. Bet thats more than Mr Glass Saha.
iceman10
theo walcott payed 29 games?? how many of them matches WASNT he complete and utter *****, umm.......... 0 i think!!!!!!!! p.s - hw many goals did walcott score, saha scored over 15

Saha is an excellent player, but is far too injury prone to make him a serious consideration for either man u or spurs as a major long term influance on the team thru the season. His goal ratio pre xmas was top quality but he does seem to be a player who also doesnt like playing unless he is 100% fit. Regarding Bale, I am delighted he came to spurs above man utd, no disrespect to you guys but as you say he would not have got a chance to play regular football in a position you are strong, at spurs he will get a chance to shine pre season onwards then it is up to him.
oxfordspur
yeah and if bale does well we will just have to sign him in a few seasons
rooneyisgod
27million ha what a stupid amount of money, and saha, wat a rip off!

Too ******** right Huntelaar is quality and surely we must be in for him. Saha is not worth 10 million and Berbatov aint worth 27 million and as for Bale we'll see how good he is when Ronaldo skins him next season, Evra Heinze even Sylvestre and O'Shea somethings telling me we never needed a rookie left back, if he turns out to be good we'll just buy him off you next season.
