Everton Defeated Blackburn

Everton Defeated Blackburn

Vital United readers think our 4-2 win at Everton was the highlight of the Reds' Premiership campaign.

I can see the point of the 49% who had voted for that match: it was special, undoubtedly as United were two behind and struggling. Yet a goalkeeping gaffe turned the game on its head and all but sealed the title race.

The performance was better (in my opinion, of course) against Blackburn though the 4-1 thrashing of Rovers got only 20%. Fulham and Bolton are also-rans - in our poll where they collected 13% and 10% percent of the votes, respectively.

Our next poll was suggested by Vital member rooneyisgod: regarding the transfer rumours, we'd like to know which striker would you buy!

thanks for adding fernando torres i forgot about him. my vote goes for Benni McCarthy. I think we could get him for around 10 mill and he has the pace to keep up with our game.

Everton certainly did defeat us 1-0 a few months back through AJ, oh I see where you are coming from lol :) The comeback against Everton won you the Title didn't it but you had a lot of help from their young goalkeeper and Phil "why do I still play for England" Neville. I would say the 4-1 win over us was better for you as we gave you VERY little that day but you took A LOT! A GREAT second half showing from you guys.

rooneyisgod - dont u think we've got enough pace upfront (rooney, ronaldo, giggs, saha), i think we need an out-and-out stiker very much like RVN, that's wh i voted for Klaas-Jan Huntelaar!!!!

I think we need pace even more than before - this team is all about pace so that should be the one thing all our signings have in common. Fergie once praised that great Celtic team of Jock Stein, saying all the players Stein had brought in had decent pace. And remember the Yorke-Cole strikeforce...
