United Target Treble Of Signings

United Target Treble Of Signings

Nobody knows how much he can spend but everyone seemed to know who he wants: Sir Alex will bring in three players if he can and a lot of names have already appeared.

Should I waste my time for writing about our perceived interest in Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, Fernando Torres and Owen Hargreaves? Well, yes, as some tabloids reckon Fergie's had enough of the way Bayern are constantly upping their price for Hargreaves and will now look at alternative buys.

Very few rumours are about midfielders though as every paper is obsessed with searching for strikers. Dimitar Berbatov had been believed to be on his way to Old Trafford - ony for Martin Jol to stress that the Bulgarian was happy at White Hart Lane and would stay there for that reason.

Jermain Defoe's name somehow ceased to occupy the headlines but he's still mentioned here and there as a possible target for the Reds - his goal on Monday was impressive but it was scored against Charlton, mind you...

Franck Ribery could be on his way out of Marseille and it's possible he'll head to Old Trafford. And yes, I know he's not a striker but please leave me the freedom of confusing you by telling no midfielders would feature in our rumour column and then putting one in. The Frenchman said a move to Germany would not appeal to him - hardly surprising, just as his subsequent declaration that he would prefer the English and Spanish league. He mentioned United, Chelsea and Arsenal among his dream clubs... if he keeps saying such things, the tabloids will fall in love with him.

Cristiano Ronaldo is only 22 but in a world of hype, newspapers have already found the new Ronaldo. Well, his arrival might not surprise a lot of people as we're talking about £7 million-rated Nani of Sporting. Do we need him? No, I don't think so but I leave the matter to Fergie to decide.

Youssouf Mulumbu claims United are interested in signing him. The 20-year-old DR Congo-born midfielder has made 15 appearances for Paris St. Germain this season and is now regarded as a bright prospect. A new Djemba-Djemba? I shudder to think of it.

And, finally, Fergie assured everyone that Ryan Giggs is very much in his plans for next season. Not a big surprise, eh?

i think nani is being targeted as a replacement for giggs. I predict hargreaves will come despite what the papers are saying.

Wev'e been linked with Nani for a while now... not sure how good the boy is. However the price on the rumour mill was more £15M for what I've read. Anyway good luck tonight lads, show the Chavs up will you!

Leave Torres where he is or let CHEL$EA have him.Overrated and overpriced.Try Berbatov or Toni from Fiorentina.

nani will come in on the left. giggs will be played in a more central role from now on. fergie says he needs to be in a more "protected role". hargreaves will come as a long-term replacment for scholes. (who will play next season tho out of scholes, carrick and hargreaves - personally id stick with carrick and scholes) the third one will probably be striker, berbatov would be ideal, but i cant see it. besides, fergie said he wanted more pace up front, so perhaps an eto'o/torres or even owen/bent would be in line for the number 10 shirt?

Luca Toni now your talking he's exactly what we need we've been pretty poor from set pieces this season and he would be the perfect player to aim for in the box
