...Ryan Giggs, Running Down The Wing

Manchester United won their ninth Premiership title. Sir Alex Ferguson won his ninth Premiership title. Ryan Giggs won his ninth Premiership title.

All of them are impressive achievements but I must say that Giggs is just about unbelievable. Never, ever a footballer in England have won nine league titles before.

What does that mean? Well, it confirms something we had always known: that Ryan Giggs is one of the best ever footballers who played the beautiful game. The man who was famously rejected by City grew out to be one of the most important figures of United's history. He only played for one club during his career and will never play for another one, that's for sure.

I think everyone in England respects Ryan Giggs. I met tons of United haters over the years but unsurprisingly, none of them ever said a bad word about Giggs and that tells just about everything about the man.

Ronaldo has been deservedly praised for his performances throughout the season but we should be eternally grateful for the sterling service that a truly great footballer gave us on the other wing. He's one of the keys of yet another title win. A title that sets a record for him. Fitting, isn't it?
